Terms of Service

By accessing or using Social Intel (socialintel.io), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and customers of Social Intel.

Social Intel provides social media datasets, analytics data, and related data products ("Datasets") for commercial and research use. Our services include:

• Individual dataset subscriptions — monthly access to a specific dataset with daily refreshes
• Pro subscription — ongoing access to all datasets with daily updates
• Custom dataset requests — tailored data collection to your specifications
• API access — programmatic retrieval of your purchased datasets

To purchase datasets or access the API, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your API key and password
• Promptly notify us of any unauthorised account access
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms or remain inactive for more than 12 months.

All purchases on Social Intel are processed by NOWPayments, a non-custodial cryptocurrency payment gateway. By making a purchase, you also agree to NOWPayments' Terms of Service at nowpayments.io/terms-of-service.

• All payments are made in cryptocurrency — BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, and 100+ other coins are accepted
• Crypto transactions are irreversible on-chain — ensure you send the correct amount to the correct address
• Access is granted after on-chain payment confirmation, typically within 1–30 minutes
• We are not responsible for lost funds due to incorrect wallet addresses provided by the buyer
• Exchange rate fluctuations during the payment window are handled by NOWPayments

Subscriptions via NOWPayments do not auto-renew. You will receive a reminder before your subscription period expires. To continue access, you must manually complete a new payment. Your access continues until the end of the paid period.

One-time dataset purchases grant access to the dataset version available at the time of purchase. Future updates are not included unless you are on a subscription plan.

Digital goods policy: Because datasets are delivered electronically and crypto payments are irreversible, no refund is issued once a dataset has been downloaded or accessed. Refunds may be granted if you have not yet downloaded the dataset and request within 24 hours of confirmed payment, or if the dataset materially differs from its catalog description.

Approved refunds are issued in USDT (TRC-20) or the original payment coin at our discretion, based on the USD value at the time of your original payment. Network fees are deducted. See our full Refund Policy for complete details.

Disputes: Since crypto payments are irreversible, traditional chargebacks do not apply. If you have a payment concern, contact us directly at info@socialintel.io — we resolve legitimate issues promptly.

Upon purchase, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the dataset for:

• Internal business analytics and research
• Training machine learning and AI models
• Building products and services for your own customers
• Academic and non-commercial research

You may not:

• Resell, redistribute, or sublicence the raw dataset to third parties
• Share API keys or account credentials with individuals outside your organisation
• Use the data to violate applicable laws or source platform terms
• Reverse-engineer our data collection methods or bypass usage limits
• Retain downloaded datasets after a refund has been issued — by accepting a refund you agree to delete all downloaded files

Our datasets are collected from publicly accessible social media platforms including Reddit, Medium, YouTube, and GitHub. We collect only public data in compliance with each platform's terms of service and applicable law.

Datasets are provided "as is." We do not guarantee completeness, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. You are responsible for validating data before making business decisions based on it.

Social Intel retains all rights to our platform, software, data processing pipelines, and the structure and organisation of our datasets. The underlying user-generated content remains the property of its original creators.

Your purchase grants you a licence to use the data — it does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property.

Your use of Social Intel is governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference. Payment data is governed by NOWPayments' privacy policy at nowpayments.io/privacy-policy.

API access is subject to rate limits based on your plan. Abuse of the API — including excessive requests, automated scraping of our platform, or attempts to exceed plan limits — may result in temporary or permanent suspension without refund.

Cryptocurrency payments may have tax implications in your jurisdiction. Social Intel does not collect or remit VAT, GST, or sales tax on crypto transactions. You are solely responsible for determining and fulfilling any tax obligations arising from your purchase under the laws of your country or region.

You agree not to:

• Use our service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our platform or other users' accounts
• Engage in repeated purchase-and-refund cycles to obtain data without payment
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when registering or making purchases
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of our services

Violations may result in immediate account suspension and forfeiture of any unused subscription period without refund.

Social Intel and its datasets are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Social Intel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services or datasets.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our service at any time with reasonable notice to active subscribers. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes between you and Social Intel shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
