Dataset License

This Dataset License governs the use of all datasets made available through Social Intel("Datasets"). Each Dataset in our catalog is marked with a specific license type. By downloading or accessing a Dataset, you agree to the terms of this license and our Terms of Service.

We offer Datasets under the following license types:

Social Intel Commercial License v1

Applies to all paid Datasets (one-time purchases, Pro, and Max plans). You may:

• Use the Dataset for internal business analytics, research, and product development
• Train machine learning and AI models on the Dataset
• Include aggregated or derived insights in your own products and services
• Share the Dataset within your organisation (employees and contractors who need it)

You may not:

• Resell, redistribute, sublicence, or transfer the raw Dataset to any third party
• Make the Dataset publicly available (via website, API, file-sharing, or otherwise)
• Use the Dataset to directly compete with Social Intel or replicate our catalog
• Remove or alter any attribution, copyright, or licence notices in the Dataset

Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0)

Applies to selected free Datasets (marked "CC BY 4.0"). You may share and adapt the Dataset for any purpose, provided you give appropriate credit. Full terms at creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/.

Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 (CC BY-NC 4.0)

Applies to selected free Datasets (marked "CC BY-NC 4.0"). You may share and adapt the Dataset for non-commercial purposes only, provided you give appropriate credit. Full terms at creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/.

Social Intel Commercial v1 — Samples

Applies to free sample previews (100-row samples). Samples are provided solely for evaluation. You may not use sample data in production, training, or any commercial application.

Where attribution is required (CC BY 4.0 and CC BY-NC 4.0), you must include the following in a reasonable manner:

• Dataset name and source ("Social Intel")
• Link to our website: socialintel.io
• A link to the applicable license

For the Social Intel Commercial License, attribution is not required but is appreciated. If you publish findings based on a commercial Dataset, we request (but do not require) you acknowledge Social Intel as the data source.

The following restrictions apply to every Dataset, regardless of license type:

• No data resale: You may not resell, redistribute, or sublicence the raw Dataset in any form. This includes selling access, embedding the raw data in a competing data marketplace, or providing it as a service.
• Allowed use cases: Internal analytics, AI/ML training, academic research, product development, and business intelligence. If you are unsure whether your use case is permitted, contact us at info@socialintel.io.
• Prohibited use cases: Creating a competing data marketplace, redistributing raw data, using data for unlawful purposes, or violating source platform terms of service.
• Attribution: You must retain all license notices included with the Dataset. If required by the license type, you must provide attribution as described in Section 3.

Datasets are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that Datasets are error-free, complete, or current.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Social Intel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use any Dataset. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific Dataset giving rise to the claim.

This license is effective until terminated. It terminates automatically if you breach any term. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Dataset and delete all copies in your possession. Social Intel reserves the right to revoke access for any violation of these terms.

This license is governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
