Refund Policy

1. Overview

Social Intel (socialintel.io) is committed to your satisfaction. This Refund Policy explains when and how you may request a refund for purchases made on our platform. By making a purchase, you agree to the terms described below.

2. Products Covered

This policy applies to all purchases made through Social Intel, including:

  • Individual dataset purchases ($9 one-time fee per dataset)
  • Pro plan monthly subscriptions ($19/month)
  • Enterprise plan subscriptions (custom pricing)
  • Custom dataset collection services ($299+)

3. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all purchases. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, contact us within 14 days of the purchase date and we will issue a full refund — no questions asked.

The 14-day window begins on the date your payment is confirmed, not the date you first access or download the dataset.

4. Refund Eligibility

You are eligible for a full refund if:

  • You request a refund within 14 days of your purchase date
  • Your account is in good standing with no policy violations
  • Your payment was successfully processed

Refunds may be denied if:

  • More than 14 days have passed since the purchase date
  • There is evidence of abuse of the refund policy (repeated purchase-and-refund cycles)
  • The account has been suspended for Terms of Service violations

5. Individual Dataset Purchases

Individual dataset purchases are one-time payments granting permanent access to a single dataset snapshot. Refund terms:

  • Full refund available within 14 days of purchase, even if you have already downloaded the data
  • After 14 days, no refunds are available for individual dataset purchases
  • If a purchased dataset contained materially incorrect or incomplete data as described on our catalog page, contact us at any time and we will investigate and provide a remedy

6. Pro Plan Subscriptions

Pro plan subscriptions are billed monthly. Refund terms:

  • Full refund available if requested within 14 days of the initial subscription charge
  • No partial refunds are issued for unused days within a billing period
  • If you cancel mid-cycle, you retain Pro access until the end of the current billing period and will not be charged for subsequent periods

Note: Cancelling your subscription stops future charges but does not automatically trigger a refund. If you want a refund, please contact us explicitly.

7. Custom Dataset Collection Services

Custom dataset orders have different refund terms based on progress:

  • Full refund if you cancel before data collection begins (typically within 24 hours of order confirmation)
  • 50% refund if you cancel after collection has started but before delivery
  • No refund after the dataset has been delivered to you
  • If the delivered dataset does not match the agreed specifications, we will re-collect the data at no charge or issue a full refund at our discretion

8. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact us at:

Please include in your request:

  • Your registered email address
  • The dataset or plan you purchased
  • Your order or payment reference number (if available)
  • The reason for your refund request (optional, but helpful)

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 1–2 business days.

9. Refund Processing

Once a refund is approved:

  • Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days
  • Refunds are returned to the original payment method used for the purchase
  • Your bank or card issuer may take an additional 3–5 business days to post the refund
  • You will receive an email confirmation when the refund has been initiated

We process payments through PayHere. Refund timelines may vary depending on your bank or card issuer.

10. Data Access After Refund

Upon processing a refund:

  • Individual dataset purchases: access to the dataset will be revoked upon refund approval
  • Pro plan refunds: Pro access is revoked immediately upon refund approval
  • Any data files you have already downloaded may be retained, but we ask that you delete them if you no longer intend to use them in good faith

11. Exceptions & Special Circumstances

We understand circumstances vary. If your situation falls outside these standard terms — for example, a billing error, extended illness, or a technical issue on our side that prevented you from accessing your purchase — please contact us and we will do our best to find a fair resolution.

Technical issues caused by our platform that prevent you from accessing purchased data will always be remedied, either by resolving the issue or issuing a full refund.

12. Chargebacks

We strongly encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank. If you have a legitimate dispute, we are committed to resolving it directly. Chargebacks initiated without prior contact may result in account suspension.

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. Active subscribers will be notified of material changes via email.
